CATERING POLICIES

ORDERING POLICY:

Parkhurst Catering requires 72-hour notice for all standard catering orders. Orders placed within 72 hours will be reviewed by the catering team for accommodation based on product availability and the day’s catering schedule. We understand that last minute orders occur and, as always, will do our absolute best to accommodate your catering and event needs.
  • Catering office hours are 7:00am – 7:00pm, Monday – Friday.
  • Deliveries and/or setup can begin as early as 7:00am.
  • Orders are not confirmed unless the catering team has contacted you or verification is received via Catertrax.

SERVICE CHARGE

A 23% service charge will be added to all catering orders serviced by Parkhurst. This includes delivery, set-up, maintenance, and teardown of your order.

All events are subject to 7% sales tax. Tax Exempt organizations must provide a tax letter with first order.

Service charge is removed for all Self Service Pickup catering orders. This option can be selected at the time of ordering. Orders are picked up in your respective café. Self Service Pickup requires that you are responsible for the setup and cleanup of your catering.

SECURITY & PRIVACY POLICY:

Ordering from Parkhurst Catering is both easy and secure. When placing an order, you can feel confident that your credit card information is protected by our secured server.

Parkhurst online ordering servers are hosted by CaterTrax, which has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of the information under our control. Encryption technology is enforced to protect your personal information stored on our servers and while being transmitted over the Internet, never without encryption. By completing any application/forms on Catertrax, you are offering data to Parkhurst Catering. Data will be kept private and only used as described above.

Parkhurst Catering will not sell, give away, or otherwise distribute your personal information that has been collected through this site, either in the near or distant future, without first contacting you and receiving your explicit permission.

Your information on our database will be used solely by Parkhurst Catering, both to provide the service to you as described within the site, and for future correspondence with you.

ORDER CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS:

Parkhurst Catering requires 72-hour advance notification of cancellation. If the client does not give 72-hour notice of cancellation and Parkhurst Catering is otherwise unable to cancel the order and there are costs incurred as a result of your cancellation, the client will be billed for any unavoidable costs incurred and deemed necessary by Parkhurst Catering.

  • Call Parkhurst Catering directly at 412-302-2223 to cancel a last minute order. Clients must speak directly to one of our catering coordinators, as any message to a staff member or on our voice mail is not a valid cancellation.
  • Cancellation notices via email are not accepted.
  • Late order changes (less than 24hrs) to an original order can be made on-line by logging into your account. Late order changes are not guaranteed, and will depend on Parkhurst Catering kitchen schedule and staff availability that day. Order changes are not confirmed until one of our event coordinators has contacted you to confirm.

 

PAYMENT TERMS AND GRATUITY:

A Credit Card must be presented at the time of order and will be processed at the time of booking.

SALES TAX:

A 7% sales tax is applied to all orders. Tax-exempt organizations must provide a tax letter with first order.

PRICES:

Prices are subject to change due to market fluctuation and product availability. Substitutions and additions on any menu will reflect price changes on the final invoice. We recommend clients request a new price quote if there are any additions or substitutions. Price changes may vary.

STAFF CHARGES:

Additional staff will need to be provided for cocktail receptions and events of 50 guests or more that require an onsite attendant. Professional staff rate is $195 for 4 hrs. Hours are estimated based on the booked event time. All needed waitstaff are billed for a minimum of 4 hours. If your event should run longer than anticipated, your invoice will be adjusted. Please speak with the Catering Manager for and additional questions and information regarding staffing fees.

FOODBORNE ILLNESS:

Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, eggs or unpasteurized milk may increase your risk of foodborne illness.

FOOD LEFTOVER POLICY:

Any leftover food will be discarded after the event. Leftovers that are safe to consume (leftover cookies/brownies) will be packed up in to-go containers if the requested so beforehand.

We do not recommend serving leftovers after the event, as we cannot anticipate how long leftover food has been held at unsafe temperatures, nor are we qualified to evaluate the condition of the leftover food. The client assumes full responsibility for any liability as a result from consuming leftover food after the event.
